ABOUT ALEX CONDE

     Alex Conde is an award winning pianist with two master degrees in classical music by the Joaquin Rodrigo and Jose Iturby Conservatory in Valencia Spain as well as in jazz/ contemporary music by Berklee College of Music and Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College.

Mr. Conde performs internationally at venues as Blue Note, Panama Jazz Festival, Eurojazz Mexico, Valencia Jazz Festival, Halifax Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival and many others as well as written music for the Oakland Symphony Orchestra, Miami Symphony and New Spain Symphony.

Conde has taught piano at Berklee College of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Oakland School for the Arts (where he was chair of piano department), Crowden Music School, San Francisco Community Music Center and given international workshops at many others. Alex is happy to work with your child individually or in small groups, as well as adults of any level.

The classes are designed to provide music adjusted to the improvement of technique as well as adjusted to the musical maturity of the student. It's important to assign these strategically for the success of the student as well as fulfilling the repertory and style the student wants to work on, from Mozart sonatas, Bach preludes or the Anna Magdalena Album, to the romantics Chopin or Liszt, Debussy or the repertory of jazz piano style from genius such as Bill Evans, Duke Ellington, Bud Powell or Thelonious Monk.

Latin music has an enormous repertory as well which can be investigated and decoded in our piano lessons. With years of performance and arranging experience with Grammy Awarded Latin Jazz artists, Alex Conde can provide lessons in salsa, son and timba music, all Afro Cuban music style, for any student interested on it, as well as flamenco piano lessons
